Vendor payments for AP teams

Stop check fraud. Get paid to do it.

Evie replaces paper checks with virtual cards, each tied to a single vendor, so check fraud stops and rebates start. Upload one payment file and every card is issued for you, free to use, with a real US-based team behind you.

How it works

From payment file to paid vendors in five steps.

  1. Fund

Deposit funds into your Evie account by ACH. You only spend what you fund, so there’s no credit application.

  2. Upload

Drop in your payment file as part of your internal approval run. Evie matches to your payment file format.

  3. Issue

Evie creates a virtual card for every payment, locked to that vendor and capped at its limit.

  4. Pay & reconcile

Pay each vendor the way they take cards – portal, phone, or by email – and Evie matches every charge to its invoice.

  5. Earn rebates

Rebates earned on your card payments come back to you as cash, so the payments you already make start paying you.

Why Evie

Safer payments, less work, money back.

No cost to use

No software fees, no per-transaction fees, and no credit application. Card interchange pays for Evie — never you.

Easy from day one

Fund, upload, issue. Balances, cards, and every charge live on one simple screen, with reports in Excel, CSV, or PDF.

Fraud protection built in

Every virtual card is tied to one vendor and capped at its limit. Full card numbers are never stored, and every sign-in uses two-factor authentication.

Earn rebates

Receive cash rebates on the vendor payments you already make and turn accounts payable into a source of revenue.

Reconciliation built in

Charges match to invoices automatically, and anything that doesn’t line up is queued for a quick review.

Case studies Case Study: Hospital Network Case Study: Mid-sized Manufacturer

Estimates are illustrative, not a guarantee or an offer of specific terms. They use a 1% rebate on card spend; actual rebate rates depend on payment volume and program terms. About 60% of payables is assumed eligible for card payment (industry range 40–70%; payroll, taxes, debt service, and certain contracted payments are usually excluded). The share of spend vendors accept by card varies widely: industry sources cite roughly 20–35% when companies enroll vendors themselves and 40–60% or more with hands-on enrollment. The “mostly small invoices” option assumes card acceptance skews toward smaller invoices and raises the share of invoices moved by 50% (capped at 95%). Check costs are editable and start from AFP’s $2–$4 median to issue a check. Your results depend on your vendor mix.

Security

Security built in, not bolted on.

Checks are the payment type fraudsters target most. Every Evie card is issued for a single vendor with a set limit, and every action is on the record.

  • Locked to one vendor

Every card is tied to a single vendor and capped at its limit, so overcharges are declined.

  • Card numbers never stored

Evie keeps only a card reference. Full numbers are shown only through the card issuer’s secure display.

  • Two-factor on every account

Every sign-in uses two-factor authentication, and funding changes require a fresh check.

  • A complete audit trail

Every card, batch, and payment is recorded in the audit log.
